Azteca Restaurant

Authentic Mexican cuisine. Portions were generous. Flavor was good, as in hot but not overly so. I was satisfied but not overly impressed. Pollo mole was good just not very flavorful. Good luck with finding parking downtown. Overall, just your average authentic Mexican restaurant.

I got the burrito to go, and it was phenomenal. At first, I felt that $16 was a bit much for a beef burrito, but when I saw it and all the amenities with it, I realized this was a great deal. It easily could've been two meals, and the the guac and pico given on the side tasted so fresh. I put a generous dollop of guac on every bite of the burrito I could until I ran out. But then I was left with the three other sauces they provide for free! The red and green salsa and a sour cream type sauce. The flavor these added to an already amazing burrito left me craving another bite. I didn't think I could eat the whole thing because it was so big, but I found myself just wanting one more bite! Highly recommend.

Amazing hole in the wall spot with phenomenal salsa verde and rojo. I had the Pollo tinga and the carne asada tacos—both were delicious. They have the option of flour or corn tortillas for the gluten free crowd

This restaurant sure has good food to eat! I love there! The employees and cooks are great, hard working people! They only accept cash, no credit cards or checks. The service can be a little slow when really busy, but the food makes any wait, worth it! As a person who has been there a lot time, I’ve noticed people (who are trying the restaurant out or are new) stand in the front and wait for a waiter. A tip I can give is: Just sit down at an empty table. The waiter will see you and take your order! It crowds the place less and you don’t have to stand so much for a long time when a table is already waiting for you.

As soon as my partner and I arrived we were acknowledged and seated. Our waitress was kind and prompt. We clearly polished off the complementary chips and dip, which were so good. The food is absolutely delicious. My partner ordered Tostadas and I ordered Flatos. This is not just a diner, they have amazing food. We just stopped in after coming back from the city and boy are we sure glad we did. We both finished our plates. 10/10 would eat here again.
