Azteca Mexican Restaurant

This place is out in the middle of no where but so good. Probably one of the best in the AV. Staff is very friendly and appreciative of the visit. Food is great. I got the fajitas with chicken and shrimp and my fiance got the Molcajete.

I used to go here because I love Mexican Food. For 3 years from 2012 to 2014. I ate their at least once every couple of weeks. I took my friends there, referred everybody there, and would get calls of how great it was! Then they sold. The owner sold because he was retiring. Good for him... but not for us. First time I went there everything changed! It was like someone bought it to kill the business. I asked them if Bill Gates bought it. That was his road map to growth, and why they smoked him in his Federal SEC Trials. This isn't that. They screwed up the salsa, which is the reason you go to Mexican Restaurants. If the salsa are bed, you can bet they are doing a Nick Saban AFLAC AD, "NO FUN HERE"!! WENT AGAIN AND THE EMPLOYEES THAT WERE THERE FOREVER, PICKED UP THEIR TENTS AND MOVED! WELL,

Wonderful food and service! The Seniors menu is great! The chips and salsa are especially good, among the best in a A.V.

I discovered this restaurant about 2 years ago and since then I’ve driven the 3-4 hour round trip from Ventura several times, sometimes with friends or meeting them there. Why do I do it? Because it’s the best Mexican food I’ve ever had and it’s served by impeccable staff members. Please don’t judge the restaurant by the exterior of the building……the real joy happens inside! I WILL RETURN OFTEN!!
