Ayat Restaurant in Brooklyn is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the mouthwatering aroma of freshly grilled meats and spices. Every dish feels like it’s made with love — the hummus is creamy perfection, the shawarma is tender and full of flavor, and the falafel is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. What really makes Ayat stand out is the attention to detail — the presentation, the generous portions, and the authentic taste of Palestine in every bite. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always make you feel at home. Whether you’re coming for a casual lunch or a special dinner, Ayat delivers every time. Highly recommended for anyone who loves bold, authentic Mediterranean flavors!
We were a group of 9, including a baby. We sat on the second floor which gave us a lot of privacy and quiet. The food was delicious and ample. We had two mezzo platter and two grill platters and there was more than enough food. Everything tasted great. The kibbeh was excellent. The chef got the stuffed cabbage and squash just right. Not an easy feat. The grilled meats were juicy and tender, especially the lamb. Our servers, Daniel and Olga were attentive and very reliable. The price was just right. We will be returning here often.
The food was delicious and everyone was so generous! I got two appetizers and I got very full and we even received free dessert in the end! Delicious, I highly recommend! And the garlic sauce is top tier
I got Mix Shaw SANDW to go, and some of the chicken was completely raw. I did not get food poisoning though. (so 1 stars, not 0 lol) I was eating at home, was not paying attention to my food. Noticed something that had texture like eggplant, so took a look. It was raw chicken. I disposed of the rest of the food and ate like 6 vitamin Cs and 2 tablets of activated charcoal and 2 shots of apple cider vinegar. And I did not get salmonella.
Very good food, vibe, and staff. My friend and I shared some amazing lamb kebab and beitenjan. The eggplant in the beitenjan was a bit softer than I prefer, and the dish was very sweet. Even still, it was delicious! The lamb was amazing, too. The limonana was perfect. We dined on the deck upstairs under some charming string lights which created a very cute and intimate atmosphere. The staff was so friendly, too! I look forward to coming back to try more dishes.
