A&W Restaurant

We ordered two A1 with large cheese, curds and large root beer floats. The burgers had no flavor. The root beer was flat by this point. We are on the highway back to Missouri. This was the worst A&W I’ve ever been to and I love eating at A&W and get it rarely cause it’s not around where we live.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Firstly, the place looks completely run down and is not fit to be running. The building is nearly torn apart. I went to redeem a reward I had gotten because it was my birthday. When I got to the drive thru, I was told I had to come around to the window to redeem my reward. The lady was an older black lady (not being racist, just want management to know exactly who I had the experience with) was very rude and impatient. I showed her my reward and she told me it was not the right part that needed to be shown, which is fine. I tried looking for it and before I could find the reward, she told me to go somewhere else and shoved the window closed in front of my face. Her attitude, demeanor, and overall aura made me so uncomfortable that I just left the

Long John Silver & A&W (classic burger joint). I really like this place as far as fast food goes. They cook your order fresh, so no nasty heat lamp fries. But since they cook it fresh, make sure you have few minutes longer to wait for your food. I like that they offer baked/grilled seafood if you're looking for healthier options. The staff is always friendly.

Place just seems to be falling a part. It seems worse every time we go. The chicken and fish are really good. But the restaurant has a bad smell and some of the sides are not very good. This used to be a great establishment. I think they need an upgrade to keep up with modern times. LJS is one of my husband's, brother in laws, and my dad's favorite restaurants. But it's not as good as it used to be. I wouldn't go back unless they made some changes. Not to dine in anyway. Like I said, the chicken and fish are still good buts that's about it. I think they still have the potential to be great again.

I went here for a rootbeer, and ended up waiting 20 minutes for it. One other time my Mother and I came here and it was a 30 minute wait and we were the only people in line and no people inside dining. I really wish they would fix up the building, the root beers are great. I haven't been here in quite some time due to long waits.
