Aviator Smokehouse

Bbq scary bad! Place empty at lunch on a Friday. Menu has changed alot. No bbq chicken, no collards, potato salad good, bbq should have been thrown away several days ago, limited menu compared to what it used to be. Wings good, mac and cheese not good, okra ok. Overall very bad it seems like they are putting all the efforts in other restaurants or getting ready to close the smokehouse restaurant. I hope it gets better for others in the future!!!

I visited the Aviator Smokehouse for the second time ever today and left pretty disappointed in the experience. It wasn't busy when we arrived with only one other table having people at it, but it still took over 30 minutes to receive our food after we ordered it (didn't order anything crazy) and then some of it was wrong. We ordered a BBQ brisket burger and it arrived with no burger patty, no bacon, and nothing on it that should have been there--just a thick slab of cold brisket on a bun. I don't even see anything that matches what we got on the menu, so not sure where the confusion came from (ordered the burger as was described, no customization). We also ordered nachos and they were missing a few of the components listed. Probably among the most disappointing parts was the grilled chees

I had high hopes for this place, but it was pretty disappointing. The meat itself seemed like decent quality and was cooked well, but it was extremely bland. For a smokehouse, I expected bold seasoning and a strong smoky flavor, and it just wasn’t there. Barbecue should have flavor, and unfortunately this just didn’t deliver. With better seasoning and more attention to flavor, it could be much better. Based on this visit, I’d rate it a 2 out of 5.

Ordered the pulled pork bbq sandwich and loved it! The hush puppies were legit, along with the sweet butter to dip in. All delicious. Especially the burger- it was seasoned perfectly and the veggies were fresh. Jeff was a great bartender & waiter. The cooks know what they’re doing. Homemade root beer was delicious too.

I had an amazing experience at Aviator Smokehouse. The brisket was absolutely phenomenal—tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, with a perfect bark that melted in my mouth. The salad was very good. The atmosphere was warm, the staff were friendly. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving top-notch BBQ! I’ll definitely be back!
