Aunt Marys Kitchen New Castle

Q’s kitchen is closed on Monday so I thought I’d finally give Aunt Mary’s a try! I Ordered online in advance, when I arrived I was the only person so I received my food immediately as I walked to the window which I loved. Ill start off with the bad, the mac & cheese is horrible absolutely disgusting. It was super gross, there was NO cheese. All that I could taste was curdled milk and over cooked noodles. As for the yams, the chicken and the crab rolls, all 3 things were very good. I’ve been dying to Try Aunty Mary’s and maybe I will have to go to the restaurant, but I’m really disappointed in the Mac that’s suppose to be the star of the show.

I am soooooo picky with my food but I promise Aunt Mary about to get all my money. The shrimp was perfect. The green beans so flavorful. The crab fries was fresh and just enough. And that corn muffin OMG!!!! The only thing I ask for is she stay happy and healthy so she is consistent so we can enjoy more of her food.

I ordered my food online and it was ready within 15 minutes. I ordered a fried fish platter with yams, Mac & cheese and crab cake egg rolls on the side. Everything was hot and fresh. The seasoning was perfect. Not under or over seasoned. The portion size was good (u can eat twice from one platter). The person who rung me up was polite. I ate from the food truck. I gave the food 4/5 b/c the Mac&cheese was a little loose and I like mine more packed. Otherwise no complaints, the crab cake egg rolls are definitely a hit!! They’re giving Aunt Berta’s (up the road) a run for their money! I like the unique menu options and will definitely patronize them again!

The wings were not fried hard enough and not seasoned well. Crab cake egg rolls and crab fries were ok. Fries were mushy. The only thing I really liked were the sides; the Mac and cheese and the sweet potatoes. I had hoped I liked everything a whole lot more especially for the price.

The staff wasn’t friendly- actually seemed annoyed. Maybe just a one off. Now to the food. 👎🏾👎🏾 Ordered the crabcake egg roll platter. Wanted the seafood salad and garlic green beans. The young lady informed me that they don’t carry all of their sides at this location. 🤦🏾‍♂️ The egg rolls were soggy and flavorless. My friend got the salmon- he said it was ehh. Spent $78 and the food WASN’T WORTH IT!!!!!!!!
