Ashland Branch Library

Very busy, vibrant place. Great location and very helpful staff.

This is, by far, the best library I've been to. It's got the old-school library feeling with a genuine and kind staff who cares deeply and will always help you when you need. Their public jigsaw puzzle is great for cat moms or anyone who doesn't have the space to work on them at home. This library is in the middle of Ashland, so you will hear and feel the train, which I personally love. This library is on the smaller side (which I also love) so don't come here expecting complete silence. They have a collaboration room you can reserve for free, which blocks out 99% of the noise. I just wear headphones if I need to focus, and you can too! This library feels like a second home to me now that I've been working remotely, and just being in this town feels great. Superb!!!! It's bright, filled with light, and organized. Not only is this a great library but it also had great and helpful staff!!!! I was traveling through town and so I checked out the discarded book sale shelf. Great books were being offered for 50¢ and $1. When I told the staff member what I was interested in she went in back and found several sale book options. Overall, the entire town seems friendly.

This library gives you that Old school vibes and gave me Nostalgia, I remembered my school days and the similar library which we had back there, looking forward to visit often as this is close to where I'm right now.

I don't know what that lady before me was talking about, but the staff at the library has always been helpful, welcoming, and accommodating. The library offers so many great activities, classes and workshops. They have public meeting rooms. They have videos, audio books, and all kinds of other good content available. And they have so many things available to keep young children occupied while there such as a huge train set, toys, a computer with age appropriate programs, the staff even hide a toy in the kids section and keep treats for whoever finds that toy! This little town of 7000 people is lucky to have the great library and staff that we have.
