AS-4013 Chow Hall

By far the worst chowhall I’ve been to on a Military installation primarily due to the non-professionalism of the staff. The side window takes 25 minutes to get through 5 people. The tall skinny girl with glasses is very rude and would put 2 things in my bag because she makes you pick only one item between salad, yogurt, and fruit. Chowhall workers cutting line in front of servicemembers who have to get back to work. Terrible.

Navy Birthday Meal was Outstanding. Everyone did a wonderful job. Everything I eat was just like I did it when I was in the Navy MS1 Davis. Waiting for the Marine Birthday. 👍🏾🎉👏🏾

Good food and great staff

1. Portions are small. One scoop of food per serving such as protein, veggies, etc will not help keep us full in order to either work 16 hour shifts nor help us stay healthy. 2. Speed of service is absolutely slow. During the first hour of opening for each meal of the day, people often come in with 20-30 minutes to eat chow and head back to work. But with the lines moving like 1 person every couple minutes, it will cause all of us to either choose another option of food, or simply not eat at all with the time crunch. 3. The quality of food here is 5/10 or 6/10. On some days, the chow hall serves a menu that are better than previous ones, but again with the portions, it doesn’t really matter since you’ll only get so much.

Definitely not worth 343$ a month the quality of food is a little worse than a less than average buffet but the kicker here is its open at the worst times. Naturally it’s not the chow halls fault they bid to feed us the cheapest way possible while hitting minimum requirements. Most marines buy groceries, meal prep, or eat out. Needless to say we should be able to opt out of the chow hall and not have to pay monthly. Easily the number one reason marines get married to strippers.
