Artman Country Smokehouse

OMG! OMG! I was blown away by the food here! We were staying at Runaway Campgrounds close to the restaurant. We wanted dinner and I found Artman on Google Maps. I don't know why I didn't ask the locals at the Campground but they all said I made a good choice afterwards. We walked in and got a table immediately. They have outside tables and playground equipment for kids. Our waitress may have been having a bad day but it effects my score. It seemed us being there was inconvenient for her. She didn't give recommendations off the menu and gave off the vibe of " don't talk to me". Ma'am, your bad day isn't the customers problem. That's my only negative. The food was delicious! I ordered beef tips, Mac and cheese with corn pudding. "Food so good you'll slap yo mama." The tips were juicy, tasty

My wife and I recently tried Artman's for the first time. In the central Florida area where smokehouse restaurants abound it is hard to find one that truly stands out amongst the rest. I must preface this review saying that we visited Artman's at a less than ideal time of day (mid afternoon) and I'm sure the peak business hours would provide more favorable results since smokehouse foods are best when served fresh and hot. That being said, the food that we ordered,(ribs and pulled pork for myself with baked beans and collard greens and chicken and pulled pork with baked beans and coleslaw for my wife) were very good but a little dry due to the time of day, which is common for most all restaurants serving smoked foods. The appetizers we ordered were the fried pickles and fried green tomatoes

We had a couple of their moinks meatballs and shared a burnt end basket. Phenomenal on both! Perfectly burnt and sauced! Nice portion. Enough to fill(not over fill) 2 adults. Definitely left happy and will be back. Pics are of the burnt ends. Ate the meatballs too fast.. lol

10/01/2025 Our first time dining here and everything was fantastic! The inside dining area is clean with a cute country bbq atmosphere. The bathrooms are clean. There is a nice outdoor seating area that is dog friendly. Selena waited on us and she is the sweetest women! She definitely made us feel welcomed and like we were regulars. She offered great food suggestions like the Moink, that my husband said was pretty good and that he would get again. The brisket was tender, juicy, smokey and flavorful! The temperature of the meat could have been warmer but was still delicious! All the sides we ordered were piping hot and very good. The corn casserole could be eaten as a dessert because it is sweet. Summerfield Jewel Artman’s located in Summerfield is a little jewel tucked away on Hwy 42 in Summerfield. They have limited table inside the building but they also have tables outside the building. I first tasted their food when our friends invited us over to their house. They served brisket and smoked chicken. It was delicious. So, we decided to go there not long after we tasted the food from our friends’ house. Our first experience at Artman’s was great that we decided to return and bring some friends with us. The restaurant opened at 11:00am and we arrived a couple of minutes before they opened to make sure we were able to get a table.
