Arthur Treachers Fish & Chips

I came here to get fish and I was disappointed. Food was DISGUSTING. I called back and spoke with a woman there and she told me that there is nothing wrong with their food. I explained to her that when I bit into the fish, the batter was grainy and she denied it and told me that if I don’t like it, don’t come again. I’m not sure why she became so defensive. I wasn’t rude. I’m more annoyed that they would think serving this is acceptable I wouldn’t suggest anyone visit this establishment. It’s never good when a business talks to a customer like this. Fish shouldn’t look like this on the inside.

The French fries were undercooked and freezer burn taste. The popcorn chicken is just different shaped chicken nuggets (processed chicken). I couldn't believe that they offer a chicken pot pie and they showed me that it is a Marie Calendars frozen in the box. They don't even make their own. I do not recommend getting any of the fish products they offer because it is so old and dry with a bad taste.

This is the worst place on the south shore of Long Island. Don’t PATRONIZE this store. The owner is a rude and very stupid and aggressive Indian woman. She has no concept of customer services. When asked about a portion, she screamed about price complaints when price was never an issue. Refused to speak about it and created confrontation over chicken and fries. She in inconsiderate and unworthy of business. Prior owners were good people. This shop is horrendous and the ownership has diluted all the community value. I would rather not eat them give this establishment a nickel. The worst place you can go. Period.

NO DINE IN- TAKE OUT ONLY. Fish was dry & grainy inside- greasy/oily on outside. No flavoring/no taste- very dissapointed. Pop machine was broken-had to buy cans. We weren't asked what condiments we wanted- worker just threw a handful of condiment packets into the bag- ketchup & vinegar ones were thrown away- what a waste. In addition, after texting on her phone- she touched the forks, napkins & condiment packets with unwashed hands & no gloves. Where is the health dept ?? Will never return to this establishment.

This was my first visit to the East Islip Pudgies and it wasn't a good experience. The pieces of chicken were extremely small and they didn't have any taste. The Selden store chicken was a lot bigger than the East Islip store. I will not be ordering from the East Islip again.
