Arizmendi Bakery & Pizzeria

I was craving pizza but wanted something easier to digest, and the nearest sourdough pizza place in the San Pablo East Bay Area was this one. Bonus that they offered vegan pizza and as quarter and half sizes too. I got a half vegan daily special which has cashew cheese, artichoke, pesto and red onion and couldn’t resist getting sourdough English muffins as well. The pizza was ready in less than 10 minutes, as they have light baked rounds ready and I believe they just had to top and bake. Prices are very affordable, pizza was $14, two muffins were $3.50. Coincidentally, so also got two sourdough pizza dough rounds from Too Good to Go from them as well, which will be exciting to make something with at home. The pizza was not good. I went here because I heard they were a sister restaurant to cheeseboard pizza however it’s nothing alike. ( I posted a side by side example the right one is from cheeseboard.)The pizza dough wasn’t even all the way cooked and the overall taste just was not good. They customer service and the lemonade was really great that’s why the 3 stars but I definitely won’t be back. Definitely a waste of money.

Love the green spicy sauce! I put it on everything but especially the delicious pizza. Everything I have tried is so delicious! Another favorite is the Gorgonzola walnut sourdough bread. I look forward to it each week. Best bread ever! I love their soups, scones, muffins,cookies and breads. They make an awesome chai too!

Great pizza and latte I got the rose latte and slice of the day pizza which was very good, however I think I like the San Francisco Arizmendi location a little better for their pizza. I will be coming again

Had the coconut lentil soup, zataar focaccia, gorgonzola bread and corn cherry scone. Everything was delicious. My husband wished they had more variety in their sweet offerings and wished they had items with meat. I had the matcha latte and he had the spicy mocha latte which had the right amount of kick. They don't have many places to sit down. Its nice that they have a large parking lot. We bought a burger from the Turkish bakery next door and sat on their side.
