It is a very pleasant place where we took a friend for an early dinner. The food was delicious and well presented, just as expected. It is a little bit pricey, but as you may see in the photo, it offers the rare bonus of an eye-relaxing view while you dine. We were finishing our meal when we were kindly reminded that the table was reserved for another party, which is the only thing to note
After teaching 5th grade students about Human Rights issues in Afghanistan, we used Ariana Restaurant to cater a special lunch featuring Afghan Cuisine. The food was incredible and the owner was an absolute delight to work with. Most students tried Afghan cuisine for the first time and everyone enjoyed the dishes. I highly recommend this incredible small business! Our bellies are full and our hearts are happy.
Highly recommend! We took advantage of the unseasonably warm day to have dinner on Ariana’s spacious back patio, and everything was delicious. All the food was hot and fresh, and it was brought out pretty quickly. There was pita and sauces while we waited, and then we had the bowlawni appetizer, which was crispy and flavorful. For main dishes we had the mantu and the qabili. In the mantu, the tangy yogurt balanced perfectly with the meaty dumplings and subtle spices. The lamb in the qabili was perfectly tender and flavorful - it fell apart with a light touch from the serving spoon - and we carefully picked every scrap off the bone to make sure we ate it all. We managed to find a 2-hour parking spot within a 5 minute walk on one of the side streets behind the restaurant, though it was a bit
Very nice Afghani-Mediterranean restaurant. We ordered Bamiya (Okra), Laghatac (eggplant), and Aush (needle soup) for appetizer. For the entrée we ordered Qabili (rice with raisins, blazed carrots and stewed lamb shank) and Chopan (rice with lamb ribs). For the dessert we ordered ice cream and baklava . Every thing was very good. The pretty e was also ok.
I had a great meal here, very tasty food prepared with attention to detail. I had the Quabili: a tender lamb shank, with savory roasted vegetables, plump raisins, and rice. A simple dish made special because each element was prepared perfectly. Have a beer or glass of wine with your meal and you will spend $45-$50. Worth it. Nice staff.
