Ardmore Library

Small but charming. Historic stone structure, with children’s area located in the basement, accoustically separating the adult reading area from the less quiet area of play. The adult reading area has a fun layout. The few seats and tables up the balcony/mezzanine look quiet and tucked away, but the chatter of the librarians and all kinds of other sounds do reach up there. The back room, of a sweet medium size, can be quiet when there’s no tutoring session going on there. The little nook with a bench between the main room and the back room is curiously the coziest.

It was a small and quaint library. The person at the front desk was kind and helpful. There was an activity for small children and parents on the front lawn going on while I was there, which was cool. I recommend that if you need a quiet place to work or disconnect, this is a very nice space to check out.

Generally a good atmosphere. Good collection and system for obtaining materials and resources they might not have. Little concern, however, for noise rules not only on the part of guests but also from library staff. Circulation desk is regularly too loud. My time there today, it was not even guests who were being helped that brought about the volume. Rather, the library staff were constantly talking with one another disrupting what would have been an otherwise mostly quite experience.

Library has to be a quiet and peaceful space. But the staffs that working there are making a lot of noise, talking to the phone, talking to people very loud, they are kind but please be quite.

Very nice and always love to take my kid. Very friendly staff. All kinds of books are available and if not, they are happy to get from nearby library. Lot of museum passes are also available.
