Arcade Free Library

I've been going here since I was a kid,3rd grade (I think). I too am fascinated with the building.Stop and think:a building made by hand!And the " crew". Could Not begin to find words to explain how friendly,how plasent etc,etc, etc! A crew that find joy in the voluntary work they are doing! How much better the world would be if there were more like them!!!!!

One of the best libraries I've ever visited and I have lived in a lot of different states and then do a lot of different libraries. Over the years you get to know the staff and they just become friends.

I visited the Arcade Free Library on April 22nd while doing the OWWL Library Tour. It’s a gorgeous building, originally built as a mansion in the village. There’s ample parking and a lovely wrap-around porch that must be nice for summer programming with families. I was fortunate to speak with director Lydia Dziedzic on my visit, who clearly loves her library and her community. The library was active with plenty of patrons on a normal Tuesday, so I imagine they draw a good crowd for special events or programs. This gem in southwesternmost corner of the OWWL System is worth visiting and I hope the tour helps them showcase their strengths to all library lovers.

I've been a patron since I was a kid and always loved this library! Incredibly beautiful building and friendly, helpful staff. Great local selection and the addition of the OWWL system makes it easy to obtain most any book you'd want.
