I recently visited this Cuban bakery and was blown away by the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The pastelitos were so good, filled with guava and cheese, and their cafecito was the strongest, most flavorful espresso I’ve had. Everything was fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced. The service was fast, and they even suggested I try the Cuban croquettes. Gisela was charming she was the lady who took my order and recommended that I try las croquetas de jamón. If you’re craving real Cuban flavors with excellent service, this place is a must visit on Miami’s famous Calle Ocho. Five stars all the way
Popped into Arahi’s bakery today during a visit to Miami. I have lived in the LA area for a long time, so spending time in a non-English speaking space isn’t new to me. This spot is so damn good, and the owner (I assume?) came over to help my boyfriend and I speaking English. The food was unbelievably good! We got sandwiches, a coffee, and pastelitos to go and brought the pastries down to the beach for sunset. And the best part? This spot is out of the tourist chaos of Little Havana, but only about a 10 minute walk away from the main drag. 10/10 recommend!
Do. Not. Eat. Here. This place is a complete and total failure on every level. I’ve eaten over a thousand Cuban sandwiches across my life, and this wasn’t just the worst—it was shockingly bad, to the point where it felt intentional. The coffee came first and was immediately disgusting. It tasted like spoiled milk mixed with ancient, burnt coffee grounds, like someone resurrected yesterday’s trash and reheated it. One sip was enough to know this place has zero standards. After waiting ten minutes, we were served what they had the audacity to call a Cuban sandwich. The bread was stale and lifeless, the ham was old, mushy, and tasted like it was actively going bad, and the cheese was cold, hard, and completely flavorless. Nothing was melted. Nothing was fresh. Nothing was right. It tasted lik
What a nice place! Relaxed, down to earth people, both staff and visitors. Lots of choice. All fresh, made on the spot. EXCELLENT coffee. Hardly any English spoken - who cares? Anyone of Dutch (Netherlands) descent MUST taste the croquetas (kroket) which are great. Lastly: inexpensive, this place.
This place feels like one of those local institutions that have been around forever. Circa 1986 is what I found. But it feels like the place has been there since or before 1940's. That is a vibe that can't be manufactured. Please stop in for some of the best pastries & bites around. And that Cuban Coffee!
