Aquamarine RESTAURANT

Long story short, the food I always get from here is amazing! I’ve visited this restaurant a few times since I’ve started living here in Kodiak. Every time I eat here I’m met with the same amount of quality no matter who is serving us and also whoever is preparing the meals. I will say that the staff can be minimal at times so as long as you are willing to wait a little longer than the average time you are almost guaranteed to get a satisfying experience. The pizza was very fresh and had a very homemade feel to it that you can really only get from a local restaurant. Its also New York style if you are into that! The mashed potatoes were fluffy with the right amount of butter. The steak was juicy and had the right amount of tenderness which can be difficult depending on a variety of fact

I came 3 times while visiting Kodiak. I heard many poor things about the service from Family & friends who live here, but wanted to give it a try because the menu looked good. It is very extensive with a huge variety of options (including vegetarian). I had not seen more than one server on any visit, so they always had their hands full doing many different things. Every time it took at least 5 minutes to receive a menu and another 10 to be greeted for drink orders. The breakfast was good, nothing special but considering there aren't a lot of breakfast options on Kodiak it was nice, although they don't open until 11. Because the server was so busy, even with only 3 tables, it took around 10 minutes for her to come back to our table after receiving our food. This was frustrating as we needed

I had the pleasure of dining at Aquamarine Restaurant Kodiak, and I couldn't resist trying their steak special and shrimp scampi with savoring sauce . It was a meal worth spending and absolute perfection! Service was prompt and friendly, and the dishes were presented beautifully. Both the steak special and shrimp scampi are meals I’d highly recommend for anyone visiting. I’ll definitely be back for another round!😊👌

By far this place was the worst restaurant in all of Alaska that we visited. It took over an hour to get 5 meals. They claimed they were busy, at 2pm with only 3 tables with people. Even a glass of milk took 10 minutes to get. So bad service, very slow, and when the food arrived, it was mediocre at best, and some was inedible (specifically the tomato soup, which was actually a cream of tomato soup, which tasted like a salt lick). There was no manager on duty and the staff there were utterly unconcerned how they were doing. Avoid at all costs!! This is not a fake review, I have no personal vendetta with a server, and I have not done a review on trip advisor. This might have been a bad day or time for the restaurant, but our food and service were awful.
