AP’S CAFE

Small beighborhood place that serves solid empanadas. I tried the potato leek (which surprisingly also had carrots and peas in it) and the Argentinian beef (which the owner recommended and also had green beans in it). Both were pretty good, had very thin dough that doesn't overpower the flavors of the filling, which was important given the potatoes and leeks were very subtle in flavors. I personally preferred the beef as it was much more flavorful.

The hours aren’t awesome but when they’re open the empanadas and pies are bussin. The chicken and mushroom empanada stood out, just like I stood out of my ex wife’s apartment begging her to come back. Rachel I miss you. The egg ham and cheese pie was perfect The Argentinian beef was good but not as good as the other two, it’s not worth giving another try just like I’m not worth a second chance apparently, please rachel we were so good together.

I would have said AP’s is an underrated gem except it’s rocking 4.9 stars on the unforgiving google reviews machine. Deservedly so — delicious empanadas (mushroom zucchini is a winner) and sweet staff. So great to have a casual spot to grab a quick bite.

Always delicious. And very reasonably priced. One of my favorite go to places in the neighborhood.

We had a couple of empanadas and a devious vanilla custard tart. The baked goods were delicious, simply melting in my mouth
