Applebee's Grill + Bar

Food was good and arrived quickly.. Steak was good. My garlic mashed potatoes could have had more garlic,but they were hot and tasty. 08.03.22 Went to early dinner. We were seated as fast as we entered the door. Ordered drinks. Ordered French Onion Soup and house salad. Wife were going to split them. Man if you like cheese on your French Onion soup, you are in luck. Cheese with every bite to the end of the bowl. Ordered the 6oz sirloin meal. Looks like it was an 8oz made into a 6oz steak. Had a pizza 🍕 pie wedge cut out of it or just a weird cut. Broccoli was steamed a little to long... steak med rare. Got med rare. 12 Shrimp for a $1.00. The server was amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The food was ok. I had ribs and I thought the meat was a little bit tough. The broccoli was under Cooke to the point of it still being crunchy. The green beans could have been cooked a little longer as well. No matter how the food was I still enjoyed my time there.

Our waitress was great, friendly and nice, checked on us regularly and no problem getting refills on our drinks. Food was good, pretty timely service, all around a good experience

We ordered some chips and salsa for an appetizer while we waited for our food. We finished the chips and almost all of the salsa (which wasn't great, basically a canned salsa product), and our server asked if we would like more chips and we said yes, please. When we asked for more salsa since we had another full plate of chips, we were told that they would have to charge us for the salsa. My wife and I found this to be very strange. They're a little on the stingy side with the fries too. We typically don't complain, we just don't come back.

Applebee's in Waterloo il has great food..They will go out of their way to serve the food your way. Ex: if your not suppose to have salt the will fix it where you don't have salt. Great Job Applebee's 👍
