Applebee's Grill + Bar

Have eaten here before but this was a new one for me. We walked in and stood by the front of house stand. There was nobody there. The seats were less than half filled and there was 3 or 4 of the bartender/waitstaff doing there job with the seated customers. At least 2 of them walked by us without even as much as making eye contact more than once. There was no please seat yourself sign, or anything saying please be patient we will be with you shortly. My daughter finally said well we could go somewhere else so we did. As it turns out, the Mexican place down the street in the strip mall by Walmart was pretty good! Thanks for making me try new things Columbus, NE Applebee's staff! I think I will continue trying new places before I come back to you.

Our server was amazing. Very attentive, kind, and overall great. Food was great. Our issue was with the hostess. There was no greeting and we were seated at a table that she was actively picking food and forks off of as she seated us. We had to ask her to wipe it off later. We then watched as several tables around us had to ask for their tables to be cleaned off as well. The ladies bathroom toilets, you could see pee and stuff on the back wall which had to build up over time. Other than those two things, we had a good experience!

Food is good. Service sucked. Hostess made us wait 25 minutes to seat us 7 tables occupied. Thought 1 server no 3 spent more time in kitchen than working. Didn’t give us silverware so when we asked another server she threw them on table. Definite management problem. All who came behind us had to sit and wait to be seated also. Service would be zero if I could give that

The ads, Google, and sign out front all say open until midnight 7 days a week. We went tonight February 25 2026 they closed at 10. We arrived about 9:30. They said we were OK but the kitchen closes at 10. There were 4 people that came in at 10 and were turned away. Appetizers are half price from 9-midnight? Our order was screwed up because of this. We wanted an appetizer trio-fine. We got a 2 for $25 also with a appetizer. My husband said he wanted mozzarella sticks. So our waiter brought us 2 orders of mozzarella sticks as well as a trio. My husband said we got an app half price but I really don't know if 2 were half price or not. I did not see the ticket. My husband ordered the oh my cheeseburger. I ordered a half rack of ribs. Burger was just about petrified it was so overcooked. My ri

We walked in to an empty place and two workers were standing at the bar, looked right at us and left us standing in the entry area so we sat ourselves. Our waitress was of zero service- she took our order and brought one refill which we had to track her down for after she passed by on her phone and ignored us. The cook brought out our appetizer and meal, waitress didn’t follow up or ask if we need anything else. Sat and waited after our meal was complete with still no check in. Had to bother another server AGAIN to even get our ticket to leave. Never have had an experience like this from anywhere before. While I offer a lot of patience and grace with people who try, this waitress didn’t try at all.
