Applebee's Grill + Bar

First, our server, whose name I can't recall, was excellent. We just beat the rush and were greeted and seated immediately. The table and seats were clean. The window next us looked to have fended off toddler prior to our visit. We ordered flavored lemonade which tasted odd. Our server addressed this but the result was the same. Tables nearby had the same issue. We had Cesar salad which was drenched in way to much dressing and not worth eating. No big deal there. But at this point we are worried for our whiskey bacon burgers, which was the whole reason for our visit. They were built a bit messy, and brioche is a terrible bun for a burger. A bit of toasting would go a long way. But fortunately, the burgers were very good. Cooked to a perfect medium and the toppings were fresh. We requested

I had dinner at this restaurant on September 16, 2025, but only noticed from the photo of the Coronarita I ordered after I got home that the beer used had already expired on August 2025. Expired products should not be served to customers as it affects both safety and quality. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and checks expiration dates more carefully in the future.

They accommodated our last minute gathering of old college friends and their families (14 total, 7 adults and 7 kids) with no problem for a post Christmas lunch as we traveled through the area. The food was good, our waitress was great and took care of everyone well despite being a large group, frequently checking if we needed anything including refills without much interuption. The restaurant was not busy at lunch time and we were able to eat, catch up and talk without feeling rushed. We were very happy and will likely return again if we can coordinate all the schedules again next time.

The food was great...we waited 15 mins to get drinks and when we got drinks it was john a waiter that wasn't in our section got our drinks while Tim and grace the mangers just walking around talking down on the servers telling them they needed to do more. As a superior they need to do better. We live in chippewa and frequent your restaurant a lot and this is the worst it's ever been. It will be a while before we return. Do better. I have to say that I love Applebee's but they have been falling short lately. My food came out lukewarm. The apps was warm, my husband's rice was overcooked and dried. We told the waitress and she says "oh I'm sorry the rice is made in big batches " Okay so what, it obviously that's a bad batch. So she offered a different side, so we chose loaded mashed potatoes, and that was disappointing. The cheese wasn't melt and the potatoes was not hot. Chippewa Applebee's is not it.
