Appalachian Coffee Cupboard

We were staying right on Watauga Lake and happened across this place while checking out surrounding towns. The owners were so friendly & informative about the area. Along with some local artist goodies, they bake their bakery items fresh daily and the food was amazing. I had the bacon & egg crepe along with a maple bacon muffin. We took a loaf of their sourdough with us and WOW. Definitely worth a drop in!

I stopped here on the way to hike nearby and now I’ve got a place to stop next time I’m in the area! The staff were all very friendly and super helpful with my dietary needs. They also helped with some questions I had about route closures. I had the baked egg sandwich and a vanilla latte. The egg was beautifully fluffy and the whole sandwich was full of flavor. The latte was also delicious. I’ll be happy to be coming back here again!

What a great little spot! Delicious local coffee and great food choices, each meal comes with sides, sauces and fresh fruits that aren't listed on the menu. Lots of little touches that make this place worth every penny, and the staff/owners are great to chat with. If you're on the way to the trail or just passing through, this is worth a sit-down stop.

This place is fantastic. The coffee is fresh and tasty and my sandwich was a work of art. Great atmosphere and people running the place were very friendly.

Awesome Coffee Shop in Hampton TN ! High quality coffee and customer service :) employees are very friendly and welcoming! (Homemade pizza on Fridays only!)
