Apollo Bakery III

This is one of the three Apollo Bakery locations in Flushing, all run by Taiwanese owners. We don’t come to this branch very often, but we’ve visited a few times. This time, we stopped by just for coffee. We only ordered coffee on this visit, and based on that alone, it was very good. The coffee was smooth and enjoyable, and it was a nice, relaxing break. The interior is very simple—there are only two small tables , so it’s definitely not a place meant for sitting for a long time. Still, it feels casual and comfortable in its own way. For a quick coffee stop, this place delivered, and for today’s visit, it easily earns five stars.

I love having an Apollo outside of downtown flushing! Their bakery selection isn’t huge but understandable as they aren’t getting a major amount of traffic. Buns are fresh and also they had plenty of Apollo’s famous milk toast!! I’ve attached a picture of their standard cake prices—adding a custom design to it is an additional $15 fee.

small cozy chinese bakery with your essentials here; hot coffee, iced milk tea, and various pastries! not as big of a selection compared to flushing bakeries, but understandable considering it’s not in a busy area. they have a lot of mooncake pick-up orders! cash preferred.

I ordered a two tier cake with fresh fruit filling and some longan walnut cupcakes for wedding party. My guests love them and asked me where to get them. Good for people who don’t like the cake to be too sweet. If you have any party that needs special orders, you can ask Ms. Kao. She is nice and willing to help.

I am a repeat customer. They have a coffee flavor moon cake that is amazing. The cake is very light (kind of like angel food cake, but not as sweet) and the icing is also light (more along the lines of whip cream). The sales associate Jayne was so lovely and friendly, a rare trait to find nowadays. Out of 10 stars, Apollo gets an 11!
