APNA PIND

The food at Apna Pind is genuinely good, and when you dine in or order directly at the restaurant, the quality is much better - fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. However, I’ve noticed a big difference when ordering through delivery apps. The food quality is noticeably lower compared to dining in, which is disappointing. I ordered fish tikka masala directly at the restaurant and that was awesome (with salmon and tikka gravy) so after some day I reordered it through app and that was a disappointing fish curry ( with basa in onion-bell pepper soup). Overall, it’s a good place for tasty food if you go to the restaurant in person. I would strongly recommend dining in or order in person rather than ordering through apps for the best experience.

I sat down and ate here, and the food was absolutely amazing, easily in my top three. Everything was delicious, and I’ll definitely be coming back again and again. Our hostess, Praveen (or possibly Braveen), was fantastic and provided great service throughout the meal. I visited the new location in Hillside near Jericho Turnpike, and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend!

I’m really disappointed with my recent experiences at Apna Pind. If you order through DoorDash or Uber Eats, be prepared for a very long wait. It feels like they prioritize direct orders (probably to avoid commission fees, which I understand from a business standpoint), but that shouldn’t mean third-party pickup customers are left waiting. I waited about 45 minutes for my pickup order. When they first opened, the service was quick and organized. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case — they don’t seem able to fulfill orders on time anymore. The food is mid-level at best. It’s okay, but there are far better Indian options in Queens. The atmosphere is also uncomfortable, especially if you’re dining with women. There are often groups of men drinking excessively, being loud, and staring,
