Aozora Japanese Restaurant

I was introduced to this place by a close friend. After trying their food and brilliantly crafted cocktails I found myself surrounded by a great atmosphere and lovely wait staff. We love Jose he is our guy and will take care of you just as much as the rest of the staff everyone is very nice and the food is spectacular.

We came to Aozora Japanese Restaurant to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. She absolutely loved it. We ordered the Cherry Blossom, Salmon Lover, and Under the Sea sushi rolls, and every single one was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Everything paired perfectly with a Japanese IPA and a Sapporo, which made the meal even better.The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night, which really added to the overall experience. To top it all off, before we left they surprised us with a birthday dessert for her, which thoughtful.Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming back, highly recommend for a special occasion or date night.

Disappointed because this place is so close to home. Service felt cold and unwelcoming, and our server was unenthusiastic. The sashimi didn’t taste fresh, and I experienced stomach issues later that night which is what ultimately prompted me to write this review.

Enjoyed a light dinner. Ordered the karaage and although it was done excellently it was very salty. Could have been the sauce. The rolls were good but not outstanding. Enjoyed sitting outdoors with wind protection and the heaters were on so I didn’t feel any chill.

I wanna start things off by saying almost all of the food was excellent! Sushi was clearly higher quality than other similar sushi restaurants in the area. We had a spider roll, Baja California roll, evil roll, hamachi, tempura, edamame, chicken karaage(!!!!), and a few others. The only food item I wasn’t crazy about was the card because it was a bit fishy. Otherwise everything was excellent. However this place is severely understaffed. We sat here and ate for almost 3 hours. The food came out as such a bizarre pace, we had the main entrees before anything else. However that said I do want to come back once they have worked out the kinks
