Antojitos Catrachos

This food was spectacular, had never had a baleada before and it was great. Tostones were fried to perfection. Service is what the reviews say it is, but you’re eating amazing food for $15-20. Im willing to sacrifice friendly service for great food. Don’t walk in thinking you’re being given the Ritz Carlton experience, and this place will surpass your expectations.

I wouldn’t really recommend going to this place. It’s such a shame how Honduran people are being represented by this place. Let’s start with the terrible customer service. Today was my first time going, and it will definitely be my last. I was treated very poorly. One of the workers (the lady with red hair) had an attitude and acted like she didn’t understand what I was asking for. It was very unprofessional. The owner was there, which makes it even worse. If this is how customers are treated when the owner is present, I don’t even want to imagine how they’re treated when she’s not there. I honestly feel bad for the owner because she seems like a sweet lady, and it’s a shame she could lose customers because of one employee. The food is amazing, everything taste delicious. I 100% recommend it. The place is beautiful, all the colors and drawings make you feel like you’re at home ( Honduras) The service is so friendly and attentive. The staff pays close attention to the customers. Don’t lose the opportunity to go and try it out you’ll not regret it.

Finally a great Honduran spot in Brooklyn. Food is delicious, reminds me of my mom’s cooking growing up. Customer service is excellent, portions are amazing & the options are great. They tend to take a while and the food is good but today was ridiculous, I waited about 45 minutes for 4 baleadas & 2 pupusas. No one was ahead of my order either, I finally get my order and my food is cold I opened it on my way home in the car (4 minutes max) the baleadas were cold. Delicious authentic Honduran cuisine, just as tasty as I remember growing up in Honduras. The yuca con chicharron is so good...ask for the crispy chicharron (pork rinds), which is the traditional way this dish is served. I also recommend the tradional baleadas and pupusas. I've been here a couple of times for take out and the service and staff is consistently great and friendly. Order ahead to cut on waiting time...the small kitchen is always busy, and there is only one cook preparing all the dishes. This is more of a take out place. There are a couple of tables for eating-in/quick bite. If you want a taste of great Honduran comfort food, head over to Antojitos Catrachos for the real deal.
