Anthony's Pizza - Inwood

Anthony’s Pizza is gross and wildly overpriced. The quality is honestly pathetic for what they charge. I ordered a large pizza with bacon, garlic, and pepperoni. What I got looked like someone dropped a single spoonful of jarred garlic in one random spot and called it a day. The bacon and pepperoni were virtually nonexistent, like they were added by someone being personally charged per slice of topping. There was barely any sauce, and the crust tasted like flavorless bread. No seasoning, no character, just bland dough doing its best impression of pizza. Seriously, Papa John’s is practically luxury pizza compared to this place. I genuinely have no idea how Anthony’s stays in business.

I've been eating at anthonys pizza for a long time, the food has always been consistently good. I Usually order a pizza and a sub to share. Unfortunately tonight for a 11 dollar sub, I got the smallest steak and cheese I've ever ordered. Its basically a small loaf filled with lettuce, the meat was scarce and didn't even seem enough for half of a sub. I told the counter staff I ordered the large size sub, and was thinking they made the half size. I was told this was a large size. After reading some recently posted reviews it seems to be a common complaint. Disappointing.

The food is good, but someone please tell me why there is a “service fee” AND a “delivery fee” PLUS you’re asking for a tip?!?! These fees are out of control. It’s wrong to gouge people all because they want the convenience of food delivery.

Service was good, food was fresh and made quickly, and the store was clean, but the pizza had no flavor. It was easily the blandest pizza and garlic knots we've ever eaten. It made me wish we had bought any frozen pizza instead. The crust was crispy and the breadsticks were OK, but the breadsticks seemed like they were deep fried.

Gave this place a 4 star rating before because their take out was cheap and not bad. Ordered a cheese steak and fries around 8:50, my cheese steak has this piece of metal in it. Lucky my teeth felt it before I tried to swallow. Don't know if it was intentional or not but don't know how this could get in my sub otherwise.
