This was our first time trying African food so we had no expectations. Our experience was good , the food was well seasoned and tasty .

The service was nice and they attended to our time. The meat was a bit tough to chew and the rice was a little dry, spice is tolerable on the rice plate. Fried chicken was good, it’s very typical. The fufu is limited to what they make during each day, so they do not serve everything that’s on the menu daily as it says. Make sure you let them know if you want less spice because the fufu was really spicy, just spice but not flavor.

if I could rate it a 0 star I would. 1. The rice has a burnt taste. 2. 70% of the meat was fat/skin and 30% was edible 3. Paid $8 for extra beef but still got very little if not less. 4. The price was insane. $12 for a kids meal that only comes with 1 chicken drumstick and extremely spicy rice for a child. 5. The only thing was decent was the fried plantain. 6. Not sure if i’m nauseous because of the food or the amount of money i spent on terrible food but $70 for 2 entrees and a kids meal is absolutely insane. please save yourself the time, money, and mental energy and go to another african restaurant, there’s so many other cheaper and MUCH tastier options nearby!

Anokye Krom is a very popular restaurant in Worcester. They specialize in African cuisines. Ghanaian foods dominate their menu though. The waiters and waitresses have excellent customer service skills. Waakye, kenkey with fish, jollof with chicken, goat meat, yam, rice balls, banku with groundnut soup etc are always available. They offer catering services for all programmed; weddings, funerals, parties. They are not very reliable when it comes to placing orders on phone.

The decor is basic, but the staff is warm and helpful. The chef came to our table several times to explain the food and help us with the spice. Had the Waakye and Goat meat and Jollof Rice & Goat meat. The seasoning was delicious. The Goat Stew has an amazing aroma. The Goat in the stew was fall apart tender and flavorful. I loved the flavor. The heat of the stew was strong but couldn’t help but keep eating. The bar has limited options. Can’t wait to go back and bring friends to this hidden gem.
