Customer Reviews
I’ve been a customer of Annie Wok pretty much my entire life, and there’s a reason I still drive all the way from St. Francis just to eat here. I grew up right down the road, and as a kid this was always our go-to place — and it’s still the best Chinese food in Minnesota, hands down. I ordered online for pickup and everything was absolutely perfect. The chicken chow mein is unmatched — no other restaurant even comes close. The fried rice is delicious, the egg rolls are amazing, and honestly everything on their menu is super good. Annie Wok has been consistently incredible for years. Worth the drive every single time!
Everything from Annie's Wok was a complete disappointment. The Pork Potstickers (6) seem to be lightly deep fried hours ago and reheated; they were dried and hard. The #3 Chicken Lo Mein combo has the strangest Lo Mein I've ever encountered. It was a three layer concotion of what looked and tasted like Chow Mein sauce and vegetables, a mass of thin noodles, then thin strips of stir fried chicken breast in the top; it didn't look or taste like Lo Mein from other restaurants. It came with colossally gross fried rice that looked like rice that was stir fried with only soy sauce days earlier. I spat out the rice as soon as I tasted it and threw the rest into the trash. We also had the Curry Tofu and the curry spices tasted raw and added as an afterthought into the rest of the dish. I order
I ordered from here for the first time tonight. The price was great and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly. However, there was hardly any cream cheese in the cream cheese wontons, and the lo mein really wasn't mixed. The first half of the container was all vegetables, and the noodles were all clumped together in the bottom half. The flavor of the noodles was great, though. We really loved the egg rolls. I'm not sure I'd order from here again, though.
I've been ordering from Annie's Wok for the last 8 years, and I shouldn't have been. When they've screwed up my order in the past, they made me pay for the item to be made without spice. I was told "You still pay!" Since I can't eat spicy foods, I paid. Tonight I tried to order simple chicken with mixed vegetables. After being snipped at for 2 minutes, I finally hung up and called Hopes Chinese. Sadly, I'm done with Annie's Wok. Please read the other reviews about their food. Everyone is right about the cream cheese wontons having no cream cheese and tasting like stale oil. The egg rolls are spring rolls and are about the size of your pinky (no joke on the size).
Annie’s Wok is my go-to for a quick and convenient pick-up! I love that we can order online and pay when we pick it up—it makes everything so easy. The staff are excellent and super friendly every time. We try to take out from here a couple of times a month, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend!
