The fried chicken was amazing, especially the Nashville. I took my family there a couple of times and was not disappointed. The sides were also great,and the key lime pie was incredibl. It was homemade,a must try. Jim was an incredible proprietor and an all around nice person. We will be back, find out for yourself.

Loved this little place so much. I got the chicken and dumplings with sweet potatoes and it was delicious. The cost was on average for a normal meal. The service was great our waitress was really nice.

We come to HHI every year and had never been to this spot. We almost turned around when we saw the building and the fact that we were the only people seated for Friday lunch. That said, the owner was friendly and our food was good. Standout was the fried shrimp plate and tater tots. Both very good.

Order at the counter. Food was ok. Beans were exceptional, but small servings. Collar greens were disappointing. Overpriced for what you get. The only reason. They got 3 stars is the beans. No bread or anything with the lunch special. Meat and 1 vegetable.

Did takeout for a New years day, traditional southern dinner. Excellent collard greens. Everything was packed perfectly,, ready on time and was delicious.. Great way to start the new year.! Can hardly wait for their Super Bowl special. I know it’ll be fantastic again.! So lucky to have this restaurant here on the island.
