The venue is stunning. Immaculate detail to everything. Very high end atmosphere. Server was Bonnie and she was exceptional. We got the below Cocktails - old fashion - Ube (on the sweeter side) Cold plates - scallops - absolutely divine. These were so perfect and the dill was such a nice touch. Hot plates - Taiwanese chicken - divine and the sauce really made this dish. The chicken was extremely tender as well. Mains - lobster Palabok - noodles were a bit hard and the lobster amount was very minimal definitely wouldn’t get it again - tomahawk - incredible. Juicy and perfectly cooked and the sauce paired very nicely with it too. Dessert - sticky rice crème brûlée - very good I did find it a bit too tart for my liking very lemony taste but my fiancé loved it. For two people this was pl

Our experience at Animae was beyond amazing! A huge shoutout to our server, Deanna, who was absolutely fantastic. She was incredibly attentive, kept our drinks filled, offered great recommendations, and was so friendly throughout the evening. The atmosphere and ambiance are "such a vibe." The decor is elegant, classy, and intimate. While the music was a bit on the loud side, it didn't detract from the experience. The food, however, was the real star. We split our meals two ways: half the table shared everything family-style, while the other half shared sides but ordered individual entrees. In my opinion, sharing everything is definitely the way to go here! Every dish was flavorful and spot on the short ribs, pork tomahawk, mantou buns (my personal favorite!), beet salad, cucumbers, chick

We had a phenomenal experience here tonight. We didn’t have a reservation but the hosts said immediate seating was available at the bar so we chose that. Nicole was our main server and she was fantastic. The ladies behind the bar all worked together to ensure we were taken care of though. We chose to order a variety of small plates and we were blown away by the dishes and individual flavors.

Grape Expectations - 5/5 Beet Salad - 5/5 (incredible flavor) Beef Tendon Salad - 5/5 (table’s favorite app) Tuna Crispy Rice - 5/5 (delicious!!) Cucumbers - 5/5 (better than DTF’s) Scallop Crudo - 5/5 (no notes) Taiwanese Chicken - 4.5/5 (great flavor) Mantou - 4.5/5 (buns were so soft and tasty, sour cream butter was very sweet) Grilled Beef Belly - 3/5 (meat was very tough) Wagyu Corned Beef Fried Rice - 2/5 (not a lot of flavor and was very salty) Pork Tomahawk Tocino - 5/5 (incredible dish, highly recommend!) Chicken Adobong Pula - 4/5 (juicy and flavorful) Assam Seabass Curry - 2.5/5 (very overcooked and dry unfortunately)

Amazing service, atmosphere, everyone who comes to San Diego should come to this restaurant. We loved every dish we tried (doesn’t happen often). I recommend you to try wontons, wagyu fried rice, crispy potatoes and shortrib (I usually don’t like shortribs, but this one was phenomenal). Sticky rice crème brûlée was also pretty good.
