Angry Crab Shack

The gumbo was decent and had some spice to it. The hush puppies were good they have jalapenos in them which made them extra tasty. The shellfish sampler boil was good but some of the mussels included were bad they had not opened during the cooking process. The lobster tail was not cooked right and kind of gooey. Overall the taste was good I don’t think I will eat here again though just based on the cook.

Came to Angry Crab on Broadway and had a great experience. Reeves took care of us and did an outstanding job — fast service, great attitude, and super helpful. The crab boils were packed with flavor and the wings were surprisingly good too. Food came out hot, fresh, and exactly how we hoped. Definitely coming back.

I hadn’t had Angry Crab in a while, so we decided to order tonight, but it was very disappointing. My husband went to pick up the order about 40 minutes after it was placed, only to find out they had forgotten to make his lobster roll. He then had to wait an additional 15 minutes. I ordered the shrimp broil with mild Cajun sauce, but it was extremely salty and much spicier than expected. The shrimp also tasted fishy, and when I looked inside, the meat appeared undercooked. I have never left a one-star review for any restaurant before, but I do not want to risk getting food poisoning from raw shrimp.

I stopped coming here a year ago because I wasnt happy with the food but I came back today and everything was so, so good. Service was great, food was absolutely delicious.

The atmosphere is a real blast as it feels like a beach site dive restaurant with tons of personality. Just a quick glance around shows graffiti on everything made of wood. No wonder so many comedians are out of work. There best material is free here. LOL. The food is great and the dessert is serious feel good food. A hand made ice cream cookie!? The deep fried cornbread ice cream is out of this world. Come and have a blast. Juan is the coolest dude here so ask for him. The Pelican welcome committee is fake so hug away.
