Angelo's Pizza

The food was great. Better than expected. Staff very friendly. Even my picky eater finished all two slices

I grew up in Fords only a block away from Angelo pizza. It was a staple of my childhood. After 35 years I was beyond excited to see they are in the same exact location and the food is even better then I remember. Hands down the best pie in Jersey.

TASTE (3/10): Tried 4 different slices, but somehow they all tasted the same. Probably smothered in the same oily cream base that just didn’t sit well with me. I’m a pizza lover who never leaves a slice behind… yet here I was, walking away from half-eaten slices like a traitor. Not my taste at all, though clearly they have fans judging by the high ratings. No comment… just confusion. PRICE (7/10): Big slices at 5 bucks, smaller ones at 3. Hard to complain about that. ATTITUDE (5/10): Staff were alright, not especially friendly. The owner gave us a couple of side-eyes when we sat down without paying first. That “I’m watching you” vibe was strong. PLACE (7/10): Easy to find, clean, and fine overall. Just no warm fuzzies. CLEANLINESS (8/10): No issues. Looked clean. ADDITIONAL FEES/HIDDE

Angelos pizza is a local pizzeria with lot of options besides your typical pizza. With the ongoing situation, dine in is closed. Their delivery service, at least for me, was quick and food was hot and fresh. My experience from this place so far has been positive. I’ve had their cheese pizza, chicken tenders, eggplant rollatini and a few other dishes. The chicken tenders are surprisingly good and the margherita pizza was decent. Recently, I ordered their gourmet grilled chicken pizza and it was extremely delicious. The flavor was oozing out of every bite and the pizza was huge and delicious. Everything about that gourmet pizza was on point and I’d recommend this to anyone. The pickup process is also relatively easy. We order quite often, and I always recommend Angelo's. BUT today was a total disappointment. No cheese on 2 of 3 cold subs. Barely 3 half slices of meat on the roast beef, and the turkey wasn't much better. The cheesesteak bread tasted stale, and fries soggy. The panini alla melanzuna was the only good item in the order. Hoping it was an off day.
