I had the Pimento Cheese Fried Chicken Burger (waiter recommended an off the menu item) and it was SO good. Such a cool ambiance and you can tell it’s a well-loved family run place. My friend is gluten-free and got to have fried chicken! I couldn’t have told you it was GF. A must-try in Sherwood!

Anderson’s Tavern is a cute, quaint, locally owned restaurant with a very unexpected and super cool interior vibe. The space feels warm, intentional, and full of character—definitely not your typical chain restaurant, which is so refreshing for the area. Yes, it gets busy—which is honestly amazing to see for a newer Sherwood spot. The hustle and bustle might feel a little daunting at first, but despite the crowds, the service was impressively smooth. The host, bartender, and waiter all did a fantastic job checking in, staying attentive, and keeping things moving. Our food came out quickly, and we never felt forgotten. Now let’s talk food—because WOW!! 🤯 We had the Saturday special Mississippi Pot Roast, and it was absolutely incredible—comfort food done right. We also tried two desserts

I live in Sherwood. My husband and I were so excited to give it a try. I am Gluten Free, so this restaurant has plenty of both. I had the Fried Chicken (GF), Mac and Cheese (GF) and Collard Greens. I was in heaven... My husband had chicken in waffles. Then we ordered dessert, Peach Cobbler (GF) and a Snickers Pie. The staff was great. We got to talk to one of the owners. Super sweet people. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend.

You won’t find better Southern food anywhere in town. My whole family came to try this place for the first time, and we were met with genuine Southern hospitality right away. Our server (pretty sure his name was Bobby or Ricky) even shared a bit of the restaurant’s backstory. The food came out quickly and the prices are honestly very fair. Everything is homemade except the potatoes, and those cat head biscuits, named because they’re the size of a cat’s head, were insane. Buttery, soft, perfect. Every dish we ordered was a straight 10/10. We just found our new go-to spot in Sherwood

Great food, good people. Really enjoyed the vive. Highly recommend it. And the quality of food mmmm. Very good and great prices. Highly recommend the Cajun fries. If you can handle real Cajun food 😉
