Anchorage Public Library - Muldoon Library

The library is small but has a really great selection for its size. I'm excited to come to a "yak n yarn" once the summer adventures wind down!

Quite a small Library however the interior has a wide assortment of books. There are also no windows so therefore there is no natural light entering. I personally would rather go to the main library however this place is closer and has a very small town vibe

I'm relatively new to living in the Muldoon area & I'm close walking distance to this library. I love going there partly due to the people who work there. So friendly. They go out of their way to offer help. I use the self check-out but if there are issues they jump right in. What I also like is being able to request books online through the loan system. They arrive fast from around the state. I have no idea how the system works but it's amazing. Also being able to make copies there is incredible. I mean, free or a tiny cost if you need more. I have well over 400 books & tons of ebooks but I'm definitely making every effort to use the library more. Well ok, my idea of fun is looking for books at thrift stores so I'll always love owning them but definitely impressed by these guys. Thanks so

The security guard was helpful and nice to my son. He even grabbed a free bag of books and gave them to us. The librarian was knowledgeable and very helpful. The entire experience was expedient and pleasant. Best service, ever!

Libraries are not dead, they have more stuff than ever. Books are of course the big thing, movies are a big item here too. I happen to live outside the high speed internet area, so it's nice to pick up some movies here from time to time. You can reserve/order movies and books from other library locations on their website, and they let you know when they are in stock.
