Amélie is a true gem in Washington, DC, delivering an authentic and refined French dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance feels warm, elegant, and unmistakably Parisian. The menu is thoughtfully curated, with classic French dishes executed to perfection. Every bite reflects high-quality ingredients and exceptional attention to detail. The wine selection is outstanding and pairs beautifully with the food, unfortunately I don't drink but to be honest I was bit tempted. I had a great mocktail. Service is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming without being intrusive. Whether you’re there for a romantic dinner or a special celebration, the atmosphere is ideal. Portions are satisfying while maintaining fine-dining finesse. Desserts are absolutely unforgettable a

Good French cuisine, great service, but does get loud when the restaurant is busy. We came here for the three course meal that was part of their NYE 25 celebration. Good deal for appetizer, entree, and dessert. Meals were the perfect portion and staff were very attentive.

Had dinner here on a busy Saturday night and overall had a good experience with a few things worth noting. The restaurant has a lively vibe and was completely packed. The tables are very close together, so definitely not the place for a quiet, private meal. We started with the escargot, which was excellent. The snails were tender, the garlic-parsley butter was rich and flavorful, and it was a strong start to the meal. My only critique was for the bread service: it didn’t arrive until our appetizer was already on the table, and it came out plain with nothing to spread on it. A good French butter, and bringing it out before the appetizer, would have elevated the start. For our entrées, we ordered the scallops special and the steak frites. The scallops were beautifully seared. Presentation

Incredible experience! All the food was so fresh and had so much flavor!! But the dessert though was by far the best thing we had! It’s called the PROFITONUT Pâte à choux, toasted hazelnuts, hazelnut ice cream, chocolate sauce. I give this place a 10 out of 10!!

We stopped by Amélie DC Bistro & Wine Bar for happy hour and absolutely loved it! We were there pretty early, only the fourth table sat, and it filled up super fast - completely packed by 5 PM on a Thursday. We shared a happy hour–priced bottle of Sauvignon Blanc along with happy- hour priced baked Camembert that tasted amazing - warm, gooey, baked with garlic, thyme, and honey, and truffle fries, perfectly crispy and delicious. The only thing I’d change is the dipping sauce — ketchup didn’t quite fit; an aioli would’ve been perfect. The mussels in garlic and white wine sauce were out of this world — tender, flavorful, and served with fresh baguette bread in a cute little burlap bag. The baguette was perfect for sopping up all that incredible garlicky white wine broth once the mussels wer
