Amorino Gelato - Plano

Got the Salted Caramel + Blueberry Cheesecake Gelato in a cup. The gentleman who helped me was so sweet. He asked if I had been there before and let me try out a few flavors. He even threw in a macaron for me!

The line was long so I thought it would be delicious , but honestly, it was a let down! I have gelato’s in California and in Europe over 10x and this is by far my least favorite! The coffee gelato’s weren’t strong and the mint gelato was powdery! It wasn’t smooth and you feel grind left over! The best one was the chocolate, but i definitely felt let down .

"I stopped by on a busy Friday winter night and the place was packed, but the experience was well worth it! The staff is incredibly polite and patient despite the crowd. The ice cream tastes amazing, but the presentation is the real showstopper—they serve the scoops in a beautiful rose shape on the cone! Pro-tip for first-timers: You pay for the size/quantity first at the counter, and then you get to taste any flavors you like to build your creation. You can mix up to 4 different flavors in one cone or cup. Highly recommend!"

The gelato was amazing but the service was terrible and poorly organized. We waited in line for 45 minutes only to have people cut in front of us and we had to ask one of the employees to help us after we stood there for a few minutes. The store has kiosks to order from but you can’t pick your flavors until you are up front. People who ordered from the kiosk that were 6 people behind us got to go in front because they ordered from the kiosk. I got the chocolate gelato which was really good but I would not recommend coming here at night because of the very long line. I hope Amorino fixes the long wait times by telling customers to order at the kiosk and letting the customers pick their flavors on there.

Best service from Vaughn! He was full of energy and said he can create petals with 8 flavors, so I got to try all the flavors I wanted. He’s the best! He loves to create the rose! Look for him if you’re indecisive like me 🤣
