Amigo Cafe

While on a road trip down memory lane, we looked for a place to lunch while in town and found the Amigo Cafe. Boy are we glad we found it! The parking lot was filled and we added our name to the waiting list. After about 15 minutes, we were escorted in by the hostess and ordered our queso fresco appetizer. My friend ordered the shrimp fry bread and I had the mutton tacos. Fry bread à la mode for desert. Did we find heaven at the Amigo Cafe?

Nice little restaurant. The staff were all very nice and helpful. There are not too many real restaurants in town(just fast food) so this place is busy. We had to wait a bit but got served quickly once inside. The inside was nicely decorated and the seating is limited. We enjoyed our meal. We ordered normal Mexican food. We come from an area that is primarily Sonoran style food so it’s a little different than what we normally eat but it was well prepared.

A must stop if you’re in town or passing through. Their attention to detail, taste, presentation, and service are extremely noticeable. You can tell the staff care for the restaurant as they provide a positive experience for everyone. They are knowledgeable on the menu and provide excellent recommendations. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food….the food is AMAZING!!!! If they have specials, I’d highly suggest getting them before they disappear.

Great little place my wife & I really enjoyed, the food was pretty amazing, the service was super friendly and fast. Nice small place that feels very lively when you sit down to eat, many of the locals go here, the portions are huge as well so be ready to doggie bag some. We definitely will hit this place up again if we are in this area in the future.

We found this quaint little café on our drive from Monument Valley to the Grand Canyon, and it turned out to be such a beautiful surprise. The location is peaceful with scenic views all around — a perfect break on a long road trip. We grabbed a meal here and everything was delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and just what we needed before getting back on the road. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and you can really feel the charm of the area. If you’re passing through, definitely stop by for good food, great coffee, and a relaxing pause from the highway. Highly recommend!
