Love this place, got a "pickle my funny bone" burger since its the spooky season, and the sandwich was absolutely fire, delicious and definitely high quality meat. Was absolutely worth the 10 dollars and reasonable for a sandwich in this economy! I am a big pickle lover and the sandwich had a ton of flavors going on which as someone who loves complex flavor, was taken to flavor town!

Wedges and ranch are incredible but the burger patty was not cooked well at all, no sear on the burger, tasted gamey and chewy like boiled meat. Seems like the cook did not have the grill turned up hot enough even had a small piece in the middle of a patty that was genuinely under cooked not rare.

This food trailer is Milwaukie’s little secret. The cheeseburger is like something you’d cook on the grill in your backyard. Tasty, juicy, and not a bad price. The hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00am-8:pm. Hours may vary due to being family owned. You may want to call first to check if they are open. They appear very busy during the lunch hour. At least try this one out, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I have eaten at a lot of food carts all over the United States, and I can honestly say that Ames Meat Research is THE BEST FOOD CART of all the food carts I have tried. I first came to Ames Meat Research at the Milwaukie Station Food Pod back in late February 2021, after being displaced out of my home due to the extreme winter storm Oregon had in February 2021.
