American Waffle House

American Waffle House in Massapequa is a nice place for breakfast brunch or lunch . Their hours change so do check. Waffles with malt are tasty light and delicious. Owner and staff are kind. They have a variety on menu to choose from and they do have natural maple syrup as well. ( not a chain) check them out.

Never had been here before but was very happy we decided to try it. The place is set like a 50's diner. We had the chicken and waffles and the Monte Cristo. Both were delicious. We happened to be in a rush so I let my server Cindy know. She was fantastic. Our food came out very quickly and was still made perfectly. Cindy was extremely nice and attentive. Highly recommended.

One thing to note is that parking is located in the back, and there's an entrance right around the back as well, so don’t miss it when you’re driving. Its a tough decision for me between the pancakes, french and waffle. They're all great. You can tell they’re freshly made and not your typical diner-style food. You might wonder if the eggs portion size seem a bit small due to what you see in the photos, but that’s likely due to the container size. One thing I really appreciate is they provide all the condiments you need in the to go order—whether it’s syrup, ketchup, or salt, As far as seating, there’s always enough room, even when it’s busy. You won’t have to wait long for a table, which is a nice touch, especially on weekends when some places have long wait times. Lastly, I love that

Lovely, basic, hearty, just what you expect from a local, long established eatery. Service was on point, prices were reasonable, portions were sizeable. The slab of ham was bigger than ive gotten in other restaurants serving the same. Grits? They have them! Not a long island staple to be sure, but they do it well, and have small and large sizes. A breakfast standard that hits home. I will return.

Loved the setting, old fashion diner set up. The pancakes were great, so was the Blt. I had a little of the steak, I really liked the cook on it; well done but not dry. The flavor was great but salt and pepper was needed. The service was slow although the place was empty. Our waitress was super sweet tho. Not sure I would go back, a little overpriced for the food and service($65) but I definitely do not regret visiting.
