What a special eatery! The area is sooo quaint. I ordered a biscuit board although I couldn’t eat any of the spreads I enjoyed the butter and biscuit as a starter (I asked before ordered so I was not surprised my companions enjoyed them)#allergy girl. The biscuits are dense and a good starter. I had a burger on their homemade bun served with fries. The burger was delicious. Prepared as ordered and served with fries (ask for crispy- mine were rather limp but nevertheless delicious). There is a room called “The Study” that requires reservations and is spectacular. A different menu and quite cozy with couches, chairs and lavish decor. I recommend reservations for dinner at Amber Ox.

Oak smoked wings and the cured ham sampler appetizers were enough to feed two but luckily the entree (Haashroom ravilio)we ordered wasn’t terribly big to finish. My husband said the cured ham sampler was “the best thing that’s happened to him in awhile.” We enjoyed all the different combinations you could make the crackers and pimento cheese was our favorite. The pickles were delicious too! Highly recommended trying to wings! It’s been awhile that we’ve been to a restaurant where we loved everything we got. We greatly appreciate farm to table restaurants that source their food locally from high quality places it makes a huge difference in the food. Shout out to our server Anthony he was wonderful & helpful with the menu.

Disappointing for vegetarians and glucose-coma inducing. The menu only features 2-3 vegetarian options and they are either a sad salad or something carb-heavy with no protein (pasta or bread). No vegan options exist beyond a salad with cheese removed. And every option, no matter how savory, has a sweet element to it (e.g., a salad dressing with honey, agave in the soup, honey in the cheese). I tried the biscuits and the mushroom toast. The biscuits were excellent--buttery and rich in the best possible way. They came with jams, butter, and a sweetened whipped ricotta. This "starter" felt more like a dessert than anything else, but it was certainly enjoyable, if a bit heart stopping (you get 5 full-size warm biscuits). I also tried the mushroom toast per the recommendation from my waiter and

Food was great! The food is very fresh and cooked from scratch. The lavash crackers were delish! It was an app with a crock of pimento cheese (which I dont like but everyone loved it). I ordered the Angus burger. It was on of the best burgers I've ever had! The onion jam was impressive. I was told the beers, and their selection was quite good. Smoked wings were good too. And the lil one enjoyed his grilled cheese. They have indoor and outdoor dining. Make a reservation, sit back, and enjoy!

This establishment is top notch! We had the biscuit board and poutine as an appetizer followed by smoked oyster soup as well as shrimp and grits. Everything was mouth watering good. A taste of explosion in every bite. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was fun and laid back. We had a mid-afternoon dinner in the bar area. Relaxed, and cozy was the vibe with a hint of upscale. This is a place that should be on your list for sure!
