Amber House Bed & Breakfast

This was our second time to stay at Amber House, and we loved it every bit as much as our first visit. Dawson and Sherri are absolutely wonderful hosts, as well as fabulous chefs. We added on the 4-course dinner one night, and it was so enjoyable, as well as delicious and creative. We loved the wine pairings too. We made use of the complimentary bikes they offer, and tried out a bit of the Katy Trail. The home itself is extremely well kept, so tastefully decorated, and always has calming music playing on the main floor. I could go on and on -- we loved every bit of our time at Amber House, enjoyed meeting the other guests, and just getting to relax in a place that felt like home. We'll be back!

Luxurious rooms and exquisite antiques are enhanced by amazing attention to detail throughout this lovely home. Dawson is a genius level chef who serves creative gourmet delights. He is committed to local sourcing and the freshest ingredients. Definitely try one of his optional dinner offerings. It is not just a great meal but a lovely overall experience. The hosts do everything possible to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Amber House was clean, quiet and safe with onsite parking. My bed was like sleeping in the middle of a cloud. The coffee and tea bar with treats adds to the comfortable and private sitting room near the bedrooms. Rocheport is a charming town for a getaway outing with friends or a romantic weekend. It would take too much space to list all of the wonderful things about this bed and breakfast. The house is beautiful, the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, the hosts are the best and the food is AMAZING! And, don't forget the massage which was one of the best ones I have had in a long time. We got snowed in and stuck another day and I must stay, not a bad place to be stuck in a blizzard at all. I highly recommend the visit and we will be back!

This a beautiful home with wonderful accommodations. The hosts are so friendly and the food is amazing. I would highly recommend the massage as well! This is a great place to stay and get away from the hustle and bustle of life and just decompress and slow down. I plan to come back and stay again. Thank you for your hospitality!

My wife and I celebrated our 60th anniversary and my wife's birthday with an overnight stay and dinner at Amber House. Dawson (the owner/chef) was great. He saw to our every need and went the extra mile. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Dinner was excellent. Dawson contacted us the day before our arrival and worked out a menu to our satisfaction. The food was delicious, service great, and the wine accompaniment he selected was perfect. We can definitely recommend Amber House for your stay if you are visiting Rocheport or the surrounding area.
