Always Ice Cream Severna Park

Off to a good start!! But still room for improvement. Another honest review headed your way. We have been eying this place up for months. They had the exterior painted for advertising ahead of time, but then didn’t open for quite some time. So we patiently waited. I’ve been saying for years that SP needs a good ice cream shoppe; not everyone is a frozen yogurt fan. After a long wait, they finally opened up. We ventured in last Tuesday to give it a try. The place was packed. All the way to the door, the line snaked around. The wait was long, very long, as expected for a newly opened place. More on this later. Love the location right on the corner so it’s easy to spot if you’re driving by. A few parking spaces available, we showed up on National Ice Cream day so there was of course a line but things were moving smoothly and everyone was in a good mood. They have a balance of traditional ice cream and non-dairy/vegan ice cream, you can also buy pints and they have some ice cream sandwiches and other handcrafted ice cream treats. I tried the vegan cotton candy and the dairy free coffee Oreo and both were really flavorful without being too sweet. You can add toppings so I went with graham crackers for a difference in texture and I am very happy with that choice. Highly recommended if you live in the area and a great option if you are taking a walk or bike ride on the B&A trail.

Thrilled to have my favorite local ice cream shop so close with this newly opened Severna Park location, which has easy walk off access from the trail. Fun painted exterior, small air conditioned interior with bathroom, and plenty of seating in the back, many with umbrellas. Not as much selection as I recall from previous visits to the Annapolis shop. Prices are expensive (paid almost $19 for just a 2-scoop cup and a regular milkshake). Servings are average size. Service was reasonably friendly and fast. I got S'mores flavor (very tasty with lots of mix-ins) and Captain Crunch (not so great, the cereal was pulverized so zero "crunch"). Great ice cream! Great customer service! Pet friendly! Nice pit stop on the bike trail! Did I mention how good the ice cream is and the customer service! Definitely 10/10 on both! Can’t wait to go back.

Just WOW. I cannot even begin to describe how rich, sweet, and delicious the ice cream was. Be aware they scoop a lot of ice cream! Haha! Perfect place to spend time with family and friends.
