Alta Pizzeria & Pasta House

Great local pizzeria and authentic Italian cooking! Food is always fresh and flavorful, service is always on point. I usually order for pick up to take home but occasionally dine in their outdoor patio area. Indoor dining/seating is very spacious too. Everything on the menu is a win, you can’t go wrong on what you choose!

Years ago, I used to take my young children in here and enjoy pizza, which was usually pretty good. I decided to try the personal deep dish pizza and that was pretty good, one or two times. After that, I would order it, but it was never the same. Over the summer, I want to a local park festival where they were had their food truck, and I ordered a slice of pizza. I had a broken leg and was on a scooter. I saw them take the pizza out of the oven, but I didn't get a slice of it. I waited and waited and I couldn't take it anymore and I said give me back my money. So now I'm out a local farm, where their food truck is stationed all weekend long in October. We got our food from door dash so I can’t comment on the restaurant experience but I am giving a 5 star on the food alone. We got a square pie which was very good although the cut was extremely uneven. We also got a cheesesteak Stromboli and that was very good as well. My biggest reason for the 5 star review is the penne ale vodka. When we travel I try to look for restaurants who have it. I have tried many many different versions and this one was absolutely in my top 3! If you are a fan of this type of dish, do yourself a favor and get this one! We also recently met the owner at an award ceremony and he was very nice! I would highly recommend this place! Well done Alta!

Hands down one of the best restaurants in the Hazleton area. Not only is the pizza wonderful from the crunchy crust and great tasting sauce but the stuff shells and homemade bread was great. Only thing I regret is not having a bigger stomach to eat more. I recommend anybody that wants to have a great dinner for the family to order from this place very happy with the food. My family and I thank you for the great experience.

Have been eating here for almost 40 years. Never once had a bad experience. everything on the menu is great!
