Alpine Retreat

We had a great experience on a busy Friday night! Our server, Eva, was extra attentive, kind, and a delight to spend time with. Our Friday Fish Fry was well flavored and fresh, and the bar did a great job with our drinks throughout the evening!

We had fantastic food and service. What a quaint location, building and atmosphere! Perfect for a quiet date night and our server, Eva was fantastic. So personable, attentive and a pleasure to meet! We will definitely be back!!

Update from Dec. 19, 2025: Sadly, this place has changed owners. The phenomenal staff has either left or been let go, the food prices have skyrocketed, the food is average at best (my friend wouldn't even eat his burger, he disliked it so much), the tartar sauce tasted like straight mayonnaise, the cole slaw was bland and there was no butter on my baked potato. The whole experience was disappointing. I saw one couple walk out without eating. I'm eating my leftovers now...not because I want to, but because I paid so much for this food, that I'm forcing myself to eat it. One good point: They have Ginger Beer and it was only $2.50. I went to this place based on Google reviews. Overall rating is well over 4.5 stars. I should've read most recent reviews. Horrible experience getting dinner here. The place is in the middle of nowhere. Upon arriving I was seated at the table and no one approached me for good 15 minutes. The whole place had only two servers that were extremely overwhelmed. Multiple items on the menu were not available. It took me over an hour to order food and order it. I order a burger. The food was mediocre at best. The service is non existent. I wouldn't waste your time driving here.

We had a reservation on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and efficient, and the food was absolutely delicious. The filet mignon was excellent. We were celebrating a birthday, and the waitress went above and beyond by surprising us with a slice of cake and a candle, which was such a thoughtful touch. The manager was also walking the floor all evening, checking in with tables and making sure everyone was satisfied. A wonderful experience all around. We will definitely be back!
