Alohahola Hawaiian Kitchen (Newtown)

I absolutely loved their bbq chicken and katsu chicken!! The portions are absolutely fantastic! My meal went well with their Taro milk tea. I'll definitely enjoy having the leftovers for dinner. The staff was very nice and friendly- I'll definitely be coming back sometime, despite living an hour away.

ALOHA!!! I FOUND IT, BRAHDA!!! This place is ono delicious! Shoots, brah, I swear I just picked this up in Aiea or Kapolei. Big ups! And for you mainlanders, all this means that you have to try this place! I had the Kahlua pork plate, fantastic! Can't wait to come back to get a poke bowl, looks like they make it in front of you and can probably do it island style meaning just seasoned poke and rice. We just moved back to the mainland, so finding this really brings joy to my heart. It wasn't very busy, but it should be! I hope everyone finds this place so they can stay open for a long time. I just found my happy place!

Absolutely phenomenal! A Friend had it for her birthday and I just had to find out where it was from and we went immediately the next day. Rice was deliciously sticky. Chicken katsu juicy and flavorful, bbq chicken and short ribs also perfect. Spouse had delicious shrimp. 5 stars all around! Highly recommend! Also dining atmosphere was great millennial music playing I was thoroughly enjoying myself 😆

The restaurant is nicely decorated. It appears they are still getting settled in though. I would have thought there would be a slightly different music choice; some 'colorful' music selections playing. The staff seem pleasant. But the best thing is the overall portion is appropriate for the price point. AND your food is given in a nice reusable bag. The flavors were great; wonderfully seasoned.

I passedby this restaurant several times and planned to go oneday. On my way home I was so hungry and as I rode past the restaurant, I thought,"There's no time like tge present." The inside was bight and had "sanitzed" signs on the tables. The gentleman working there was welcoming and helpful. I had the Hawaiian fried rice and spring rolls. The spring rolls were light and crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside as they oftentimes are at restaurants. There was so much fried rice that I couldn't eat even half of it. I had chicken, beef, shrimp and pineapple. You get your money's worth unlike many restaurants today. From the picture on the menu, I thought it was small cubes of meat. I was pleasantly surprised to find big pieces instead. I plan to stop by again and try other menu items.
