Customer Reviews
I recently visited Aloha Hawaiian BBQ and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. First, communication was difficult because the staff’s English was very limited. It made simple requests harder than they needed to be. Second, the food was served in plastic takeout containers instead of plates, even though we were dining in. On top of that, the food wasn’t brought to the table — you have to go and pick it up yourself. When I asked for salt, instead of giving a standard packet, the employee went to the kitchen, poured salt into a small plastic cup, and handed it to me. That felt unprofessional and unsanitary. The food itself was okay, but nothing special. It’s below average overall considering the service and presentation. I expected better.
A hidden gem! Amazing prices and portions are huge! Reminds my husband and I of our honeymoon in Hawaii. This place will instantly cure your seasonal depression in the colder months. Wondering if they are open during the holidays I’d rather have this for Xmas dinner than Chinese anywhere nearby.
Genuinely one of the best meals of my life. Kalua pork was so tender it was practically falling off my fork. Chicken katsu was honestly the best cooked chicken i’ve ever had. Surprised with how good the steamed cabbage and white rice was, not bland at all. Fantastic price and great portions.
When I saw Hawaiian BBQ in the area, I was excited. When I called to ask if they have Huli Huli Chicken and Poke, the person I spoke to had never heard of them. I would encourage them to expand their menu to include both of these delicious Hawaiian staples. And poi.
Just heard about this spot and I had to check it out as I haven’t had good Hawaiian food since Vegas. I ordered the chicken combo plate, which came with bbq chicken, chicken katsu, rice, cabbage, and macaroni salad as well as the spam dish. The chicken was phenomenal, so was the macaroni salad and the sauces it came with. The spam was good but I’m not the biggest fan of seaweed. For $20 (including tip) it was a great meal and service, I will be back for more!
