Allen Public Library

After a few years of going to the library and accessing their online resources, I’d say the old is better. The constant construction isn’t done and there’s a massive decrease in quantity of books. Although the current mid-project status of the construction is t going to be the case forever, hurry things up! The staff are kind, professional, and knowledgeable. The only change I’m a fan of on either floor is the seed library in a central location upstairs.

I was so happy to see it open after the construction, but this is what we waited for?! The warmth of the old design is gone and feels clinical cold. Not even have the tiny cafe outside, just a vending machine. There also seems to be a lot of missing books, cause I swear they had these series before construction.

It has been under construction for over a year, and our children still don’t have access to even a temporary library since that space is also closed. Why are you limiting their access to essential resources? Why should I have to take my child to another library?

Just moved here and got my new library card. Haven’t spent must time there yet but first so far I’ve had great experiences with librarians and seems like a good sized library with great selection of books. Computer system easy to use.

We live walking distance away from this library, stuffs are more than friendly, environment is amazingly comforting! They have renovated and made it even better!
