Alfonso's Pastry Shoppe

I purchased chocolate-covered strawberries from Alfonso’s the other day. On display, there were dark chocolate strawberries on one side and milk chocolate lined up next to it. I specifically asked the woman assisting me for four milk chocolate-covered strawberries. She initially placed them in a plastic bag, and I had to ask her to put them in a box instead. Later that day, when I served them to my guests and we opened the box, I was extremely disappointed to see that I had received three dark chocolate strawberries and only one milk chocolate — despite clearly requesting all milk. Mistakes happen, so I called the bakery to explain the situation. My father bought me a cannoli and chocolate pudding birthday cake, lemon cookies and rainbows. The cake filling was only filled slightly in the middle and the rest was all whipped cream, the lemon cookies were rock hard, 7 layers tasted like someone accidentally dropped a tub of salt in the dough. Will never return. Don’t waste your calories or money!

Fantastic bakery! One of the BEST. My family stops here for pastries, bread, and other delicious desserts whenever we’re in Staten Island.

Has been a part of the neighborhood for years. The products they produce are well made and we never had an issue. The fresh breads are great. We particularly love the Meat Bread. Prices are extremely high (40 dollars for a 2 pound of cookie tray). A 5 pound tray had a price of 98 bucks!!!! INSANE Personally I think bakery prices are way too high recently, The staff are very friendly and helpful. Owner or manager seems very hands on and looking for improvements.

The BEST Homemade Italian 🇮🇹 bread in Staten Island, so delicious!!!! You MUST Try it. The staff is extremely friendly and cortegous. Great Bakery.
