Relaxing atmosphere with great service and kind staff. I loved the older music from the 50s playing. The food was good and im glad to see that had real maple syrup available. I had the breakfast sampler. Its a good place to come with friends, a simple breakfast date, or to just come hangout and kill some time. I went on a Wednesday morning around 9 so it wasn’t busy but not dead either😊

To me, its typical diner food. I enjoyed everything I ate which was the griddled meal with challah french toast and the corned beef hash (homemade), hollandaise & overeasy eggs on a croissant. Staff was really friendly and I liked the different seats. (We got the wooden benches which i really liked.) Would def go back!

Great breakfast. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The omelet was filled with veggies and cheesy. The french toast was not my fave it was a little tough. I think they smash it too much during cooking. Service was great. The coffee was strong and fresh. Everyone was very friendly. I would return. My only issue was parking but there is a public parking lot near by. It is also fairly priced.

This place really rocked it. Very busy yet courteous, professional and quick service. My server Cindy was very busy yet?Paid attention to all my ordering requests didn't miss a beat with my table or the others around her which I was surprised about for how busy they were. The homemade corn beef hash was all it's written up to be. A reasonably priced dish for all the food that I ordered.

While visiting Poughkeepsie, I loved Alex’s Restaurant. Breakfasts are hearty, filling, and genuinely delicious. Inside feels like a 1930s movie set—pressed-tin ceiling, cozy leather chairs—and the music fits the vibe perfectly. Only downside: they’re not open on weekends.
