Alberto's Bakery

Alberto’s Bakery is a hidden gem in Meriden! They supply bread for restaurants but also sell to the public. We went on a Saturday morning and they greeted us at the door. The smell of fresh bread wafted over us. Everything is hand made and the people are super friendly. Of course, the bread is amazing! We got sourdough, an olive loaf and an onion bread. This is our new go-to spot for fresh bread!

If you drive anywhere near this place and don’t stop, you’re doing yourself an injustice. Incredible breads made by incredible people. A true bakery experience.

Without question, the best conchas we have ever had. We usually drive 35 minutes to New Haven for them but now we'll be driving the 50 minutes for these. I have a loaf of sourdough in the freezer that I am very excited to try. Go check them out, you'll be happy you did! You'll be even happier if you get the opportunity to run into the owners son. What an absolute stand up guy he is!

Doesn't get much better in my opinion! I have tried many bakeries and Alberto's is THE BEST! When he opens to the public there will be a line out the door! The best breads you can buy!

A little hidden gem in south Meriden. The scent is so beautiful and the Fresh baked breads are fantastic. Highly recommend the cranberry. Make sure to bring cash. :)
